Serena is a professional photographer, tutor and pet carer who has turned her life-long hobby of photography and her passion for pets into her business. She took her first photograph in Ross over 40 years ago on a family holiday and is thrilled that she is lucky enough to now live in Ross permanently. Her father introduced her to photography as a child and she spent many Saturday evenings with him as he worked in his darkroom watching the pictures ‘magically’ appear.
Many people to-day experience “mid-life” situations where they find themselves in altered circumstances. Serena had such an experience and as a result in 2002 launched Digi-Pet Portraits specialising in pet photography and soon after launched her first website www.digi-petportraits.co.uk. In November 2004, Serena gained the photographic distinction LRPS – Licentiateship of The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain. In order to gain this Distinction she submitted a portfolio of images for approval by a Panel of Society Fellows and you can see her portfolio on the Digi-Pet website. Purely as a result of her pet photography Serena was asked to photograph a wedding, this side of her business continues to grow in strength and she now has a second site www.serenarobinson.co.uk where you can see how she includes the couple’s pets in her work.
